After graduating with a Masters in Social Philosophy, she worked for an international technology company installing networks for the MoD, before retraining to be a teacher in Physical Education. She took up the offer of a PhD scholarship in the philosophy of sport at De Montfort University in Bedford where she wrote her thesis on the language of genetic technology in sport. Following this, she joined the University of Gloucestershire where she still currently works.<\/p>\n<p>Emily has previously been Chair of the British Philosophy of Sport Association and Associate Editor for the <em>Journal of Philosophy of Sport<\/em>.
